The
P.O.D.
Tier 1
High School (Pursue)

Mentorship program participation becomes available in the fall of the 9th grade. This is where students begin to learn how to identify and pursue their passions; framing them up as potential career paths. Each high school mentee is matched with a college or trade-track and workforce mentor, someone who is close enough in age to feel relatable and someone experienced enough to offer real, actionable advice. These mentors help with goal-setting, decision-making, time management, and navigating high school with intention.
Tier 2
college & trade School (Overcome)

Students who move to the 2nd tier will maintain their workforce mentor and have the opportunity to accept a high school level mentee when ready. This provides the opportunity for students to sharpen leadership skills early and in a safe environment. Mentors in this tier are current college students, trade-school students, or individuals in active certification programs. They serve as the direct mentor for high school participants, matched appropriately in partnership with the school's council. This allows the students to share their lived experience developing community.

Tier 3
Workforce (Develop)

The entire pod is anchored by a workforce-level mentor—a vetted professional who oversees the college/trade mentors providing top-level guidance. This mentor ensures consistency, models long-term professional habits, and supports the POD as they progress toward adulthood and career development. The workforce mentor will also be the one to initiate financial need scholarships and micro grant requests if necessary within the POD in partnership with the respective student.

The Mentorship P.O.D. is designed to scale thoughtfully, adapting to the needs of each participating school and community while maintaining the integrity of long-term support.
